At our wedding, just over 2 years ago, we had guests sign a copy of “Oh,The Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Seuss, in lieu of a traditional guest book.  At that time we had been discussing the possibility of an international move, but had no idea where we would be living in 6 months time. Fresh Eyes: Sharing Chile with Friends and Family

After over a year of living in Santiago, much of the newness and novelty has worn off. Valle de Elqui – Drinking Pisco Under the Stars

This past Monday was a holiday here in Chile, so we decided to take advantage of the long weekend by taking a road trip to Chile’s Norte Chico region.  We set our sights on the sunny Valle de Elqui, a beautiful valley in the Andes that is blanketed with a patchwork of vineyards. Day Hike – Monumento Natural El Morado

101_1426We’re just shy of 3 weeks living here in Santiago, and this Saturday we decided it was time to venture out of the valley and into the Andes.  There are many reasons we were drawn to the opportunity to live and work here in Santiago, but high on the list was accessibility to some incredible hiking.  Matt and I share a love of the outdoors, and while a trail up a mountain can be physically exhausting, there are few things I find more mentally relaxing.
